Top 3 reason why I loved this session:
3. I finally got the opportunity to visit Columbia, MO for the first time. I know what you are thinking… “Why does a Canasian care about Columbia when he didn’t even go to school there?!”. And you are absolutely correct. However, Ali (aka ‘the wife’) is a Tiger and did graduate from Mizzou. :)
2. I got the opportunity to see a
client friend again, Stephanie, and meet her family. I also got to meet and work with Stephanie’s beautiful niece, Ashley. She doesn’t actually live in Columbia but made the special trip over (just like we did) so we could take her senior pictures.
1. I get to work with Ali again!
We started the session off at the University of Missouri-Columbia’s beautiful campus on the quad (aka the columns). Then we headed over to the Shelter Gardens before they closed, and we ended the session at Stephanie’s work right as the sun went down. Besides dodging the sprinkler system just before trying to get some great sun setting moments, it was your typical awesome senior session. Photogeeks – I only used two of my favorite portrait lens for this session… 35mm f1/4L + 50mm f1/2L. Sometimes I wonder why I bother bringing a ginormous bag full of lenses when these two guys get the bulk of the work. The last couple shots were cross lit so that I could give Ashley some rim light while lighting her face up.
Ashley – Great job knocking the session out of the park (it’s no surprise that she has experience in modeling)! Thanks for making this session look good. Seriously girl… all I had to was point and shoot the camera. Stephanie – Thanks for thinking of me to capture these great images of your niece. Babe – (aka Ali), thanks again for assisting me on another great session!
