Best of 2010 – Part 5

What? Did you think I was finished with 2010? Absolutely not! I have a bunch of great images that I still want to share with you… I have been focusing on editing pictures- which I’m pleased to say that I’m back on schedule to deliver client pictures within 6-8 weeks. :) Thanks again for being so patient and understanding! Ok, enough talk and on to the pictures…

Sometimes, it doesn’t take much to make kids happy and I think this picture demonstrates it really well. Zoey (Hatty and Jason’s daughter) looks completely happy playing in the leaves and throwing them as high up as she can. I also love the combination of the colors of her dress, green grass and sunset orange all in one picture.

I think this was one of my first family sessions with the Snow family and I learned a valuable lesson from Courtney and Chris that day… Bring incentives for kids to do what you want them to do! Riley had a TON of energy and it was hard to get her to sit still for a couple of seconds. The solution? Orange flavored Tic Tacs! Did I mention that sometimes it doesn’t take much to make kids happy? :)

I’m a sucker for sunsets, flare and green grass but add a cute little girl (Jade) and her mother, it just complete the picture. BTW, that glow in the picture is actually coming from Jessica (the mother) while she was 7 months pregnant. Check out the grass… even the ends are glowing!

A beautiful quite moment with Courtney and her son Cole as the sun is setting.

I think there is something that designers put in wedding dresses that instantly makes women glow with beauty when they put it on. Stacy put her trust in me to take post wedding dress pictures (a.k.a. trash the wedding dress) and I loved the fact that she took hours in preparing for this session. We spent hours at Forest Park and it wasn’t exactly warm that day either!
