I remember meeting with Brittany for the first time at Starbucks in Clayton. We must have spent a couple hours chatting about photography and her wedding plans (anybody that knows me, knows I can talk for hours about photography). In fact, we were kicked out of Starbucks (since they were closing) but we continued our conversation outside the coffee shop. I knew from that moment, working with her and Brett would be pretty kick ass. :)
Fast forward to their big day in September. The day was filled with a ton of smiles, laughter, dancing, singing and gobs of details. What kind of details? How about unique necklaces for all of Brittany’s bridesmaids, Brittany’s one of a kind dress, her Jimmy Choo glittery shoes, tree stump cake platter, hanging lanterns throughout the tent at reception, beautiful center pieces, s’mores for party favors and a fire pit to roast them on. All this on Brett’s family owned golf course, Twin Oaks (pretty cool, right?). I knew it was going to be an awesome wedding and luckily I had enlisted the talents Maura Moore from Massachusetts to help me document the entire day with me. And not only did Brittany and Brett have kick ass photographers, they also had equally awesome videographers… aka Peace Love Productions. Sometimes it can be challenging to work with videographers (I’m sure they say the same thing about us photographers), however Tara and Kelsi were such sweethearts and super cool. They were along side us throughout the day to capture Brittany’s beautiful smile, Brett’s studiness (is that a word?), their crazy wedding party which had a TON of energy :), and Shellie’s maid of honor speech/rap. Yes, you read that right… RAP (think of the Prince of Bel Air jingle).
Brittany + Brett, thanks so much for having us guys. It was an absolute honor… seriously.
