I am always humbled when a couple puts their trust in me to capture and tell their story as seen from my perspective. It is even more flattering when I am asked to travel and document a destination wedding, which brings us to Katie and Steve’s wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica. To be honest, I’ve heard horror stories from wedding photographers about Jamaica… everything from getting robbed, to hotel staff stealing photography gear. Needless to say, I was somewhat concerned and didn’t know what to expect. I’m thrilled to say that EVERYONE in Jamaica was so great and friendly! I only wish Ali and I had had more time to spend there, and to also explore the beautiful island, but I’ll blog and post pictures about our experiences later.
Now back to Katie and Steve…what a great couple! Ali and I were truly honored to be able to spend time with them and their friends + family. Everyone made us feel like friends instead of vendors, which shows you the kind of people they are. The beautiful ceremony took place on the beach, with blue skies above us and white sand beneath our feet. The only real misfortune was that Katie’s brother was not able to travel to Jamaica in order to witness them tie the knot. However, he sent a touching letter that was read shortly after the ceremony was complete.
And now, onward to the pics!
