The Speaker Series Hosted by Fresh Art Studios

If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, then you probably know by now that I’ll participating in the inaugural Speaker Series hosted by Fresh Art Studios. The goal of the Speaker Series is to allow photographers intimate access (not that kind of intimate) to people who are running successful photography businesses in their respected fields. Not dubbed as a photography workshop, but it’s an opportunity for photographers to ask questions on just about anything but specifically about business topics. Anybody that knows me, knows that I’m a big advocate for continued learning and networking (via workshops, conferences, gatherings, etc). I wouldn’t be where I’m at now without the information I’ve picked up from these great sources. Sure you could probably figure things out on your own but what is your time worth? Wouldn’t you rather have your questions answered on a silver platter instead of spending time researching and figuring it out on your own? We get asked on an occasional basis if we offer any kind of workshop (one-on-one or group) or mentoring program which we currently don’t but this is the next best thing. I’ll be sharing the stage with stage with 3 other great wedding photographers in the St. Louis area; Clary Pfeiffer, Joel and Shannon Conner (I have a HUGE amount of respect for these peeps).

Well I’m happy to announce that two great companies are sponsoring me for this event!

Vision Art – Fine Art Books has been our exclusive album vendor when it comes to weddings. We first met the great folks at Vision Art a couple years ago when we attended the WPPI trade show in Las Vegas and fell in love with their albums immediately. After visiting and talking to other album companies, I can honestly say that we couldn’t find anything that matched Vision Art from a quality and style perspective. As well, the customer service is outstanding which was very important to us. That said, Vision Art has provided us with some fantastic prizes for the event. One luckily person will be walking away with a $250 gift card from Vision Art! We’ll also have several $50 gift cards to give away for the not as lucky peeps. ;)

MagMod is our choice of speedlite modifiers. People always ask “how we lit this image” and more times that not, MagMod modifiers were used to help execute our vision for the image. It’s SUPER easy to use while staying extremely durable. MagMod continues to grow it’s modular product line with different modifiers and we love adding each one to our arsenal of lighting tools. ;) We’ll be providing a discount code to ALL attendees of the Speaker Series but you need to be there to get it. :)

Thanks again to EVERYONE (clients, fans, peers, vendors) for all your support! Hope to see YOU on April 13th at the Speaker Series!
